Tarwin Lower Primary School is proud to launch their Vegetable Garden Blog
The planning for a 3 year School Vegetable Gardening Program has begun. The intention is to create the plan and apply for funding so we can get it up and running next year. For the Garden Program to be successful beyond the 3 years, sustainability has been a focus. I have been involved with the school for a couple of years now and have realised that projects like this may have a lot of enthusiasm initially that will not however, ensure ongoing operations. Therefore the program has been planned to slowly be introduced to the students and families. Building a stable, financially sustainable and engaging program for the students is the only way the program will survive. So, at this point the plans are in the pipelines and once finalised will be available in the school office if you are interested. This blog is a part of the project, I believe that it is worthwhile to document the process right from the start, which is why I have started the Blog.
