Kids in the Kitchen 04/12/15

Kids cooked very quickly today and we were ready early. We made salad wraps which looked very scrumptious. For dessert we made Wonka Nut Crunchy Slice. The slice was delicious. Today's meal was inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Kids in the Kitchen 16-10-15

This term the lunches have been inspired by Roald Dahl. I came across the Revolting Recipe book and thought it would be fun to use these recipes. 

Today was inspired by the book The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me.

For lunch we had Tummyticklers and Spitsizzlers and for dessert Plushnuggets.

Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the Tummyticklers, they were 3 layer ham and cheese toasted tortillas.

This week we don't have any photo's. Sorry. We did cook though. I had 3 great cooks, Cara, Zale and Nelson. We made chicken skewers and rice which were yummy. Then we made self saucing chocolate pudding which we served with cream.

Today we had Pumpkin Soup and Rocky Road. We also made cheesy garlic bread and plain toast.

Today we made Suzi's Dahl and Chocolate Cake with popping candy on top.

Lana and Kylie came along to help us cooking. It was really yummy.

Today we made hamburgers and ice cream sundaes. Celeste found cooking the burgers very splattery. Ozzy cut all the burger buns and didn't cut himself. Island and Jess cut the tomatoes and grated the cheese.

Today we made chicken and gravy rolls and chocolate chip cookies. We were lucky to have Kylie come and help.

The kids loved the lunch, best of all there were hardly any dishes.

Today we made Bacon and Cheese pasta bake and Chocolate dipped pretzels. The kids had a great time getting into the chocolate. There were no left overs, so I think this lunch was a success.

Today we made Burritos for main and for desserts was brownies, the tomatoes were from the schools garden.

Hi my name is jack and it is my first day at TARWIN lower primary school and on my first day I got go in the kitchen and make spaghetti bolognese and fruit sticks.

Kids In The Kitchen 20/02/15

Because of swimming some kids missed out on cooking but we still got to cook food. Today we cooked Chicken Schnitzel Rolls and Honey Joys. The best thing today was eating the leftover Honey Joy mixture. The worst thing that happened was drying the dishes. We picked tomatoes that we grew in the garden and shared them with the whole school.
