Kids in the Kitchen Week 1 Term 2

Here are some photo's from week one term two. The students chose to make Spaghetti and Meatballs and Ice Cream Sundaes.
I prepared the meatball mixture the same as the hamburger recipe, as the kids seemed to like it. We kept the sauce separate, just in case there were some kids that didn't want it, i think there were 2.
We had some left over hamburger buns in the freezer so I decided to make some cheesy garlic bread, which I just put cheese and a sprinkle of garlic salt.
The Ice Cream Sundaes were a hit. I had 3 toppings, mini marshmallows, 100's and 1000's, wafer biscuits and a can of cream, so the kids got their ice cream and then chose the toppings they wanted. It got a bit messy, but the kids loved it.
The recipe made heaps of meatball. I allowed 4 for each student which was a good amount with some extras. There were 27 kids having lunch, which is a lot, so I added 500gm extra meat, there would have been enough for 20 with out it. I cooked 3 packets of spaghetti, which was a perfect amount for 27 serves.
